This list is from my tucked-away online diary...It stretches back to 2000. Oh yes, I'm an old-school blogger, me. You can't read it though, I was quite the little emo, over-dramatic urchin. I think I did about three of the items on this list that summer. I was 6 years younger than I am now and infinitely sillier. I've completed nearly all of them now, and also, my spelling has improved (I just copied and pasted. I do now know how to spell tattoo.)
Anyway, I thought I should make a list for this summer, as I sense it is going to be a summer of great change...and confusion. My aspirations have changed some what anyhow, thank goodness!
1. Go to a comedy club with lamps on the tables
2. Stand under a waterfall
3. Get my new range of products on the shelves of a real-true-to-life-bricks-and-mortar shop
4. Go on holiday on my own {I'm dreaming of Morocco}
5. Get a DSLR camera
6. Get a new job
7. {it's a secret, this one}
8. Adorn myself with my fourth tattoo - a beautiful unicorn across my back
9. Learn the French knot embroidery stitch
10. Get a fabulous tan that will last longer than the end of August
11. Swim in an infinity pool
12. Win something amazing
13. Have my own little craft room
14. Start making a quilt
15. Get 100 blog followers {currently on 54 and rising!}
16. Go to the filming of Big Brothers Little Brother
17. Become the type of person who always has painted nails
18. Try out a Jumping Pillow
19. Make ice cubes filled with tiny roses and fill a champagne bucket with them...
20. Book into at least three craft fairs for Christmassy time
Let's see if I do better this year.
I'm a little sunburnt today, yesterday was a scorcher and I still didn't have my little bobblyboy back, so I lay out in the sun for too long doing some soon-to-be-revealed embroidery. It's all part of a new top secret project that I'm super excited about, I can't wait to show you, I really can't! I have three more main pieces to do and about 100 smaller ones. Should I set a reveal date yet?
I think I maybe should...
Okay, so I plan to launch this fabulous new collection of handmade goodness on September 1st. It's a long way away, but I have so, so, so much more work to do on it, I am a such a busy gal right now!
My head is so filled with a million ideas and questions and craziness right now, I need to get it all out onto paper. Maybe a cute new notebook would help...
This adorable unicorn notebook is by All Things Bright, and what a wonderfully vibrant shop she has, I just adore the silk cat-adorned bag aswell, and her beautiful cushions...
This embroidered ninja notebook has stolen my heart. It's from Fiona T, there are other beautifully made books in her quirky little shop too :-)
I couldn't do a feature on notebooks without mentioning Chalk Hill Studios. I've met Karen in person and she really is lovely and talented. I have one of her fab handmade coptic-bound books knocking about in my bag and I use it for all my telephone numbers and random notes, it's beautiful quality.
Have a beautifully productive day!
