Folksy Friday - International Sunflower Guerilla Day!

May 1st is International Sunflower Guerilla Day! You can check out the details here. It basically involves sneakily planting a sunflower in a neglected public spot. The idea is to spread a little joy and happiness and I think it is wonderful. I'll be out planting a sunflower outside my house on the miserable patch of grass we are 'blessed' with. It's really, really easy, it's not illegal, and it might bring a little sunshine to an otherwise drab day for someone once your sunflower pops up :)

To celebrate this lovely idea, I have dedicated today's Folksy Friday to the beautiful sunflowers people have been inspired by, and here are some gorgeous things I have hunted down for your viewing pleasure.

I hope you'll feel inspired to spread a little happiness today :)

Great idea! Must get the ones planted in my garden going first!

My dad's always guerilla gardening, although it has never involved sunflowers. I didn't realise how cool he was
